Praise the Lord!
How wonderful it is to celebrate the life God has breathed into us! Everyday is truly a blessing and I can't help but see how amazing the Lord is in His handiwork when I look at my family, at how fearfully and wonderfully we are made, and especially when a new baby arrives!
Well, I haven't had my baby yet, but I recently finished a baby scrapbook for one of the sisters at my church. It was such an honor and pleasure to give her the gift of being able to scrapbook pictures and journal details of her first son's life so that she can look back and cherish those moments for years to come...as well as preserve a part of her family history!
Here are a few pictures of the inside...
I found a beautiful vellum paper featuring baby footprints at Hobby Lobby and matted it onto a chocolate paper before layering it on the blue scrapbook paper.
"My Perfect Gift from God" is written with a blue gel pen and added a lovely sparkle effect that is not visible in this photo (sorry)...
This page features a handmade envelope in light blue matted onto a cappuccino-colored scrapbook paper with little dots...I just love the texture!
Every scrapbook should feature a little book that allows space to write details and extras that don't fit with the pages that have photos...This is a handmade book using that same textured card stock featured above...the picture below shows the inside with a pocket on the left holding little note cards and the mini-book journal pages on the right...
I don't think this picture really does justice in showing the pearlescent effects of the fabric paint (Scribbles from Michael's) calligraphy design featured on the outside of the scrapbook. The book itself is more of a dark chocolate color and the paint is light blue.
I really had a lot of fun putting this book together and can't wait to show you the scrapbook of my own baby girl soon to be born!
Until next time...may God bless you and keep you and make His face to shine upon you is my prayer.

"Heaven-Sent Baby of Mine" is featured on the second page of this layout, also done in blue gel pen. The italic calligraphy was done with a Marvy Uchida Calligraphy Pen.
Most of the scrapbooking paper used is by Bazill or Recollections (Michael's), with ribbon accents from Hobby Lobby. This page features a handmade envelope in light blue matted onto a cappuccino-colored scrapbook paper with little dots...I just love the texture!
