To everything there is a season...

The wisest king penned the heart touching words in Ecclesiastes: To everything there is a season.

Time and chance happen to us all.

A dear friend of mine lost her son in a car wreck last week...This is the card that the Lord anointed me to make for her...

Even though the words I say may not take her pain away, one thing I know for sure is that God's words are spirit and they are life.  He is the God of all comfort.

May your day be blessed as the Lord strengthens your inner man.

Blessings,

Angenise

God's Season For Blessings

Have you ever prayed for something in particular, and because you truly cast that care upon Him, you sort of forgot about it?

Well, that happened to me again today!  I was curling my hair, getting ready for Bible Study, and all of a sudden the song my husband was listening to reminded me of a prayer I'd prayed and God's promise to do a new thing.  It was at that moment that I realized He had answered my prayer.  Talk about excited! I was excited at the living God being so mindful of little ole me!

Well, enough about that.  What I really wanted to share is the project I've been working on for two days (officially, because I work on it in my mind much longer before my ideas come to reality!).

A gift for my Pastor...

This is the vintage Birthday Blessings card I created especially for my Pastor, featuring an original poem called God's Garden.

A mini journal...

God-Sent Greetings

God-Sent Greetings

It took me some time to come up with the title of the journal because I wanted it to be just right.  Since we are always graced with hearing Pastor share the miracles God has done over the years, and this is one of her favorite James Cleveland songs, the Lord inspired me to title it "God is still working miracles in my life".

I also made her some notecards along with journal pages and put them in a little pocket inside the journal.  The back of the journal features Psalm 34:1.  I used Colorbok cardstock and scrapbooking papers.

I am so grateful to the Lord for putting me under such a beautiful Pastor who teaches us to have a relationship with God and to seek him and his righteousness.

Thank you for taking time to read my blog and share your comments with me.  May the rest of your week be blessed as you walk into your season.

Psalm 1:3 And he shall be like a tree, planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Above All We Can Ask Or Think

How has praise made a difference in your life?

I'm not just talking about when we go to church, but in our daily lives and routines.  How much do we really praise God?

Praise affects our outlook on life...It takes our focus off ourselves and lifts our heart to glorify our Heavenly Father who is our everything!  So when we really take the time to let Him know how much we appreciate Him for being involved in all our ups and downs, ins and outs, battles and victories... through praise, the results are above all we can ask or think!

This morning, as I reflect on how God has made my life so meaningful and how without Him I am nothing, He reminded me of a song I learned as a little girl.  Sometimes, when there are no words to say, I just sing a song to the Lord and He encourages my heart.

May this song encourage you as it has me! (Click  Praise the Lord by The Imperials)

I know this doesn't have anything to do with cardmaking, but sometimes a song inspires me to write an original sentiment for the inside of a card, or just allows me to work on my craft while singing songs that encourage my walk with the Lord.

What kinds of ways do you let God in during your daily life routines that keep you uplifted throughout the day?  I would love for you to share them with me!

God's Blessings,

Angenise

A God-Sent Greetings Journey

2012 God-Sent Greetings, LLC. All rights reserved.
God-Sent Greetings began "unofficially" in 2005 when a dear friend of mine lost her daughter to AIDS.  I wanted to create something special, something that expressed my heart-felt sentiments instead of someone else's.  So, relying on a gift that I actually began to cultivate in elementary and junior high school, I created a handmade card.
I didn't realize the magnitude of what I had done until I began to create other items such as framed Scripture and bookmarks.  My Pastor had given me a set of calligraphy pens when our church moved to a bigger location, opening the door to a gift that had laid dormant since those school days!  I had been sitting on a gift that I didn't even realize the Lord wanted me to use until He gave me a new start in 2003!
After learning calligraphy from an English teacher in elementary school, the dream of writing was born.  The journey began as my life took twists and turns, some unexpected, some difficult, some life-threatening and all making me into the woman I have become.  Now, as a more mature woman and grateful for such an opportunity to share with all who wish to allow me to be in their lives, and with the help of God and my wonderful husband, I am ready to embark on this journey of having a business.

More than a business, but rather a gift and blessing to share in servitude and gratitude, God-Sent Greetings means that your gifts (whether for yourself or to share with family and friends) will include the message of God's encouraging Word from the King James Version, along with handwritten sentiments that are thoughtful and from the heart.

May God bless you and make His face to shine upon you each day of this new year!
